We require you to complete your patient forms prior to arriving at the office for your appointment. Please understand that we want to spend as much time face to face with you as possible. Having downloaded and printed your forms at home allows you to complete them accurately and with as much detail as you want Dr. Nowakowski to have. This paperwork is necessary for her to have your health history as well as details about your desire to achieve your best potential by addressing your concerns and goals.
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Michelle Nowakowski to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Michelle Nowakowski to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
After your consultation, Dr. Nowakowski will perform a thorough chiropractic examination including x-rays to evaluate the health of your neck and how to make the precise, gentle adjustment at the perfect angle to correct your misalignment.
If your case is indeed a chiropractic case, Dr. Nowakowski will take precision x-rays to determine the geometric vector that will allow her hand adjustment to bring your head and neck back into alignment. This is essential to relieving pressure on your nervous system. Following the first adjustment some of the x-rays will be taken again in order to verify the corrective vector effectiveness. Once your perfect vector is achieved, it can be used again and again whenever your body goes out of alignment. Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays up close. In some cases they can identify the degeneration themselves.
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Michelle Nowakowski will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, Dr. Michelle Nowakowski will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Dr. Michelle Nowakowski will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.
After you and Dr. Nowakowski have reviewed your Report of Findings and agreed upon a plan of action, you will receive your first NUCCA correction (adjustment) and have the post x-rays taken. These steps typically take place on your second visit to the office, unless otherwise arranged.
Most patients who have received their first NUCCA Correction immediately begin thinking about how they can maintain it, and if there are things they should do or not do. Before you leave that appointment, Dr. Nowakowski will answer your questions and advise you of activites you may want to avoid in order to hold your correction as long as possible. She will also advise you if you should use ice packs, heat packs or a hot shower to relieve any pain or stiffness you are experiencing.
Dr. Nowakowski is still the only Board Certified NUCCA chiropractor in Colorado.
In February 2018 Dr Nowakowski submitted for re-certification with theNUCCA Board. Her work has been reviewed and she was re-certified. This is very significant since others may claim to be certified, yet if patients or interested public contact NUCCA.org they will find only people who have submitted to the credentialling and passed the rigorous standards of NUCCA are listed as Board Certified NUCCA practitioners.
Certainly a reason for all her patients to celebrate, since they can get a correction, not just an adjustment!
