The NUCCA correction which you can read more about in this site has been cited as one of the most effective ways to correct a short leg.  A cyclist who has a short-leg and the resulting pelvic un-leveling is much more prone to injury and less than optimal performance.  Check out our cyclists page to see the resources you might want to read to learn how to cycle further without injury or fatigue.  

The NUCCA correction uses the atlas as a lever to balance the spine.  Colorado gives us so many wonderful opportunities to get outside and be active, but we all want to do so without injury.

As soon as patients begin to feel relief from pain and symptoms its quite natural to want to be more active.  Some may wonder if certain activities or exercises are "allowed."  Dr. Nowakowski encourages all her patients to be as active as possible.  In fact, pelvic (hip) stability has been proven to be greater in people who cycle.  See the article on this here, quoted from Lennard Zinn.  All new patients who fill out the form and come to the office that are interested in Cycling, will receive a complimentary copy of Zinn's Cycling Primer or Roy M. Wallack's Bike for Life.

Dr. Nowakowski is still the only Board Certified NUCCA chiropractor in Colorado.

In February 2018 Dr Nowakowski submitted for re-certification with theNUCCA Board.  Her work has been reviewed and she was re-certified.  This is very significant since others may claim to be certified, yet if patients or interested public contact NUCCA.org they will find only people who have submitted to the credentialling and passed the rigorous standards of NUCCA are listed as Board Certified NUCCA practitioners.  

Certainly a reason for all her patients to celebrate, since they can get a correction, not just an adjustment!
