Once you begin to hold your alignment

Once patients begin to hold the alignment for longer and longer, Dr. Nowakowski doesn't need to see them as often.  She wants them to go out and live their life, enjoy their great health and tell others about this amazing way to be as healthy as possible.

However, the patient will continue to face everyday stresses and strains on their spine, and different challenges that make maintaining their alignment more difficult.  For that reason she will check patients weekly for about a month.  As the need for re-adjustment decreases, so do patient visits.

Eventually your body will hold onto alignment, because it will be easier to be in alignment than out of it.  At that point patients know exactly how it feels when they need to be seen.  They can be trusted to call and get an appointment, because they want to feel great again.

Do not be discouraged if you have mild flare-ups in your symptoms on occasion. This is normal. Flare-ups are bound to occur during this phase because your body has not fully healed. Depending on the severity of your injury or condition and how long you have been suffering from it, this phase of your care may last anywhere from a few months to a couple of years.  Generally patients recover about a year of injury each month that they are maintaining their alignment.  It might seem daunting for a 40 year old to think about 40 months of care to recover from all previous traumas and injuries, however not recovering is a much bigger problem.  That's because failing to take care of chronic conditions doesn't mean they don't exist.  It just means they may play a bigger role in debilitating conditions as we age.

Dr. Nowakowski is still the only Board Certified NUCCA chiropractor in Colorado.

In February 2018 Dr Nowakowski submitted for re-certification with theNUCCA Board.  Her work has been reviewed and she was re-certified.  This is very significant since others may claim to be certified, yet if patients or interested public contact NUCCA.org they will find only people who have submitted to the credentialling and passed the rigorous standards of NUCCA are listed as Board Certified NUCCA practitioners.

Certainly a reason for all her patients to celebrate, since they can get a correction, not just an adjustment!
